Using Gigpromoter

Gigpromoter is a cloud-based event promotion skills-training and task-management software application. You will be provided with tools to develop the knowledge, skills and framework needed to successfully plan and promote events independently, with the option of adding promotional team members to your account - at no additional cost - to help you with using Gigpromoter.

Unless you're already a well-established, prominent entertainer, people typically don't just show up at performances. There's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to get people to attend concerts, performances and other events.

Gigpromoter was created to give you a solid foundation and well-rounded understanding of how booking and promoting events works.

If you'd still prefer not to be involved in the promotional process, you'll have the option of adding promotional team members to your account (at no additional cost) - which can be members of your band or ensemble, paid or volunteer promotional staff, friends & family, fans or anyone else that wants to help promote your event - to handle all tasks involved with using Gigpromoter to organize and manage the promotion of your event.

Gigpromoter.com can be accessed through a browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox on any of your computers and devices - including desktop and laptop computers, tablets and mobile devices.

Gigpromoter can currently be accessed through a browser on any of your devices. A mobile/tablet app version is not currently available but is expected to be available to the public in the near future.

Included in your Gigpromoter account is a skills-training section that includes tutorial videos and additional content such as guides & templates to walk you through the various concepts & topics you'll encounter when using Gigpromoter. Please visit the "Learn More" page for more information.

Gigpromoter is *not a design platform and does not include tools to create and edit graphics. There is, however, a tutorial video on creating event graphics to help get you started.

Gigpromoter is *not an event booking platform and does not include the ability to contact venues and book events inside Gigpromoter.

Yes, Gigs can be edited or deleted anytime. If a Gig is deleted before the promotional calendar begins - or 8 weeks before the event date, one Gig credit will be restored. If a Gig is deleted less than 8 weeks before the event date, no Gig credit will be restored.

You can either delete the Gig, or change the Gig date to any date in the next 12 months. If the Gig is deleted before the promotional calendar begins - or 8 weeks before the event date, one Gig credit will be restored. Events can be scheduled no later than 12 months from the current date because Gigpromoter is likely to improve and evolve as time goes on; and because new Gigpromoter features and resources are likely to emerge in the coming months, we want to make sure you're able to take full advantage of current and future versions by limiting current Gigs to a 12-month window.

Tour pages display info from multiple Gigs on a single page, allowing you to quickly reference event dates & times, contacts and other info for a tour or other series of events.

Subscription & Account Options

Registration options are available on the "Sign Up" page. To create a new account, enter your name & email address and create a password. Then, select the amount of Gig credits you wish to purchase.

Yes. With a free trial level membership, you'll gain access to user Gig and Tour forms, introductory tutorials, and other basic features including user FAQ. Upgrade to a paid account to access all premium features.

Options to upgrade to a paid subscription are available to trial users on the settings page of your account.

Yes, options to change your email and password are available through the user settings page in your account.

Once you've joined Gigpromoter and paid a subscription fee you will have access to paid user tech support whenever needed.

Yes, options to add Gig credits are available on the settings page of a paid users account.

Paid user options for purchasing additional Gig credits are the same as when you created an account: 5 credits cost $25, 10 credits cost $50, 25 credits cost $75, and 100 credits cost $100.

Your initial Gig credit purchase includes a 12-month subscription.

Yes. Gig credits can be renewed and membership duration can be extended through in-app purchases in your user account.

Existing subscriptions and Gig credits can be extended by 3 months for $10, 6 months for $15, and 12 months for $20.

Paid user options for renewing your subscription are the same as when you created an account: a 12-month subscription with 5 credits costs $25, with 10 credits is $50, with 25 credits $75, and with 100 credits costs $100.

Inactive accounts can be reactivated/restored within a 1 year period.

Initial subscription fees for your account must be paid at the time of registration. However, there are varying options for adding or extending Gig credits or extending your membership available to paid users though your account.

Yes, please visit the "Sign Up" page and create a new account using the gift recipient's name and email address. Be sure to check the "This is a Gift Membership" checkbox and enter your name under "This gift is from:"

Once you have completed checkout, the gift recipient will receive an email notifying them that they have been given a Gigpromoter gift subscription. They will subsequently have 30 days to click on a link in that email to create a new password and set up their Gigpromoter account.

Please be sure to notify the gift recipient to be on the lookout for an email from gigpromoter.com - so they are fully aware that the email they receive from Gigpromoter is not spam, but is in fact a notification of your gift membership. If they have not received the email, please ask them to check their junk mailbox in case it was filtered as spam.

The gift recipient can either login using their email and the temporary password that was created at the time of purchase; or they can click "Forgot Password" on the "Login" page - after which they will be emailed a link to reset their password and login to their new account.

In the case of a lost or deleted gift membership email, the gift subscription will subsequently be valid for the duration selected from the time of purchase.

Click the red "Cancel Signup" button at the bottom of the page and try again.

Check to make sure all signup form fields have been completed in the correct format and that the confirm-email and confirm-password fields match the provided email and password. Also, check to make sure you have the most recent version of your browser installed and disable any ad-blockers you may be using.

Please make sure you have updated to the latest version of the browser you are using or some features including signup form elements may not work correctly. Also please disable any ad blockers or ad blocking extensions you may have installed in your browser as they may block certain features including signup form elements.
